After the Valencia final, the 2021 season is not over for Timur Boguslavskiy… heading to the Indianapolis 8 Hour!

A legendary track, the temple of North American motorsport, the circuit of Indianapolis will welcome this year once more the second round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Held this year in mid-October (from the 15th to the 17th), the Indianapolis 8 Hour is already shaping up to be an ultra-competitive event with the best drivers and best teams in GT racing worldwide among its entrants.

For the first time in its history, Mercedes-AMG Team AKKA-ASP will take part in the transatlantic event. After the first round that took place during the 24 Hours of Spa, Jérôme Policand’s team will enter the #89 Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Indianapolis. In addition to the crew, a dozen members of the technical team will also travel from France.

As far as the drivers are concerned, the crew is well proven, with the Russian Timur Boguslavskiy, 2020 Champion of the GT World Challenge Europe, the Brazilian Felipe Fraga, and of course the Italian ace, Raffaele Marciello, who exceptionally left his seat to the Austrian Lucas Auer at Spa (because he was already entered in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup).

This highly motivated trio will be worth watching as of the first laps at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The 2021 season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge will conclude a few weeks later with the Kyalami 9 Hour in South Africa from the 2nd to 4th of December.
