The weekend got off to a promising start for the French team. From the free practice sessions onward, both crews quickly found their pace on this technical track. The #87 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 driven by Hadrien David and Jan Duran showed excellent pace, setting the second fastest time in free practice, while the #99 of Gabriela Jílková and Cindy Gudet were sixth in the Pro-Am class. Pre-qualifying confirmed the team's strong performance: third overall for the #87 and fifth overall, top in Pro-Am, for the #99.
Matmut Évolution kept up this momentum in qualifying. Jan Duran and Hadrien David set the second fastest overall time in both sessions, securing a front-row start for the weekend's two races. In Pro-Am, the all-female crew of of Gabriela Jílková and Cindy Gudet also performed well, going fourth fastest in their category in both sessions.
Race 1: A resounding victory for #87 and a superb podium for #99
On Saturday afternoon, the first race of the weekend took place in glorious sunshine and delivered an intense spectacle. Starting from second, Jan Duran quickly began to hunt down the leader. Unfortunately, the young Spaniard received a five-second penalty for taking a very wide line on the first lap and rejoining without using the desiganted route. Far from being disheartened, Jan Duran reacted positively and stayed in contact with the lead car from second throughout the safety car interruptions. Shortly after the driver change window opened, a dramatic turn of events saw the leader suffer a puncture and Jan Duran took the lead.

After a stand-out stint on home turf by the Spanish driver, Hadrien David took the wheel and resumed in third after the pit stop, having taken the earlier time penalty. He also set a competitive pace and consistently closed the gap on the front runners. He made two decisive overtakes during a spectacular final ten minutes, including a superb move in turn one, to lead and claim a resounding victory.
That win was the second in a row for the #87 following their triumph in race two at the Nürburgring and it lifted the crew to second in the Silver standings.

In Pro-Am, Gabriela Jílková and Cindy Gudet delivered an inspired performance in race one. During the first stint, Gabriela Jílková demonstrated her determination and opportunism, gaining four positions soon after the start to move up to third in class and seventh overall. Fighting for second, she perfectly managed the safety car restarts and handed over to Cindy Gudet with 20 minutes to go. The battle continued unabated. Although Cindy Gudet initially lost positions, she responded quickly with impressive pace. With five minutes remaining, she moved up from sixth to third place in Pro-Am thanks to her determined overtaking.
The crew of the #99 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 therefore stood on the podium for the fourth time in five races. They moved into fifth in the Pro-Am standings, just six points off the top three.
Race 2: Matmut Évolution at the double!
On Sunday, the weather was once again beautiful at the Catalan circuit. For the 39 cars on the starting grid, this final round of the season began in an electric atmosphere.
At the wheel of the #87 Toyota, Hadrien David made a perfect start and maintained his second position. Unfortunately, on the first lap, a collision triggered the safety car. Cindy Gudet (#99) instantly slowed down, but the car behind was surprised and collided with the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2, which hit the wall at turn six. While Cindy fortunately was not injured, the impact shifted the barrier and left the car too damaged to rejoin the race. The #99 car was unable to resume and, three minutes after the start, the race was stopped by a red flag.

After 25 minutes, the race resumed behind the safety car, with 38 minutes of the season remaining. Hadrien David managed the restart perfectly and held second behind the leading #78 McLaren. A few minutes after this restart, the leader was penalized with a 10-second penalty for excessive speed at the start (150 km/h instead of a maximum of 110 km/h).
At the driver change, Jan Duran returned to the track, now leading ahead of the #310 Audi. With 13 minutes to go, he held a three-second lead. Taking care of tyre management and track limits, the Spanish driver, in front of his home crowd, kept a cool head. As the laps wore on, the #78 McLaren attempted a comeback. With just seven minutes to go, a Full Course Yellow reshuffled the situation and created a tense final two laps.
In the final lap, Jan Duran was under threat from the #78 but he made no mistakes and crossed the line with a 0.3secs advantage. The Franco-Spanish duo took their third consecutive victory, giving Matmut Évolution a spectacular end to the season. In the Silver Cup drivers' standings, the #87 crew claimed runner-up honours. In the teams' standings, Matmut Évolution ended the season third.
In the equally competitive Pro-Am category, Gabriela Jílková and Cindy Gudet finished in the top five, as did Matmut Évolution.
The 2025 season has ended… time to look forward to the 2026 campaign!
